It's not easy to make a compelling film about a person who spends her life thinking and writing. Plenty of drama in a life like that, but it isn't inherently cinematic. The film provides an excellent portrait of Hannah Arendt's notion of the "banality of evil," the shear normalcy of evil in Western Society. Adolf Eichmann was a mediocre functionary who abandoned the will or ability to think about his part in the grand scheme of The Final Solution.

Great for history buffs! I've read a lot about the Eichmann trials and the global reactions to it, this film was a fascinating tale of Arendt's coverage of the trial and how it influenced her academic work.

Very interesting character. But it's just a point of view. It's important to consider others to better estimate hers.
